A small note about their relationship and how they view each other.

• Mija and Dagyeom first met at a national math competition in their second year of middle school when they were 14 years old. Jihoon won first place, while Mija won second. Their first impressions of each other: Mija to Dagyeom: This guy beat me? He's rich, isn't he? He has a strong backing? (So I hate him to death) Dagyeom to Mija: Strange girl, her bag is so pink. (Thinks Mija is weird)
• In high school, Mija's closeness to Jihoon continued to grow over time, especially since Mija always approached him openly and often spent time at his house. Mija even earned the nickname "Pinky" from Jihoon.
• After much struggle, Mija and Jihoon finally started dating after a kiss in the school library in their second year of high school. Mija had repeatedly expressed her feelings for Jihoon, but he was the one who proposed.
• High school was over, and Lee Jihoon, now Kang Dagyeom, was busy preparing for his idol debut, while Mija was busy preparing to enter Seoul National University. During this time, a major conflict arose when Mija proposed breaking up with Jihoon, worried about his future career.
• Dagyeom frequently invited Mija to parties he attended, whether hosted by him or by his celebrity friends. Mija, now better known as MJ, continued to be called Pinky by Dagyeom regardless of the venue or who was around. Their relationship was kept hidden from others.
• Upon learning of a stalker bothering Dagyeom, Mija decided to take action, of course with Dagyeom's consent. Mija initially resolved to kill the stalker, but managed to restrain herself. Despite this, she left the stalker with severe physical injuries, to the point that he kept his head down and vowed to stay away from Dagyeom.
• Mija plays a role in keeping Dagyeom's reputation clean in the media and lobbying for parties who could potentially benefit him. Meanwhile, Dagyeom also places someone he trusts near Mija, just in case she needs help.
• Dagyeom and Mija have such confidence in each other's abilities that they never interfere in each other's work unless the other asks for advice or assistance.
• Dagyeom sees Mija as a walking paradox. He views her as a unique and contradictory combination. Mija, who always seems unplanned, excels at manipulating people simply by her spontaneity. According to Dagyeom, a calm person should be able to manipulate people so easily, so he views Mija as a fascinating oddity.
• Mija sees Dagyeom as a quasar, the brightest object in the universe. He believes that no one can match Dagyeom and that Dagyeom is the greatest.

JIHOON/DG’S MIND AND FEELING

Lee Jihoon is someone who never shows what he's going through, always calm and unreadable at all times. He often asks himself, "Why did God create humans with feelings?" He doesn't understand because he thinks feelings are silly, useless, and only make humans weak. So, when he begins to feel something strange about Yeon Mija, and his body's responses become uncontrollable, Jihoon begins to feel uneasy, doubt himself, and fear. He slowly begins to justify everything he experiences so that he doesn't feel like he's betraying himself. It's not "I fell in love," but "I allowed myself to like another person."

The fearless, tough, and fiery Yeon Mija is incredibly attractive to him. Jihoon realizes that Mija's presence adds color to his daily life, especially when she becomes his academic rival. Mija always manages to surprise him with her unique actions and intelligence, and he loves watching her defeat others with rhetoric. Jihoon also realized that Mija was incredibly supportive and dependable.

During pre-debut, Jihoon now Dagyeom first lost control of his rationality when Mija asked him to end the relationship because she was worried about his future career. Without thinking, he immediately ran to Mija, dropping everything he was doing, only to have her go back on her words. Okay, so, they had angry sex, and Dagyeom kept saying he would get Mija pregnant so she couldn't leave him. Of course, their relationship didn't end.

Despite experiencing the intense fear he felt when Mija asked him to break up, Dagyeom didn't immediately ‘fall in love’. He, with his crazy mindset, decided to experiment out of curiosity. In the early days of his debut, despite his already-busy schedule, Dagyeom deliberately ignored Mija, rarely contacting her, and reducing her attention. During this time, he wondered if he would ever get bored? Considering their relationship had entered its third year. Surprisingly, Mija was completely unfazed by his actions and remained as normal. In fact, she loudly declared that she knew what Dagyeom was doing and allowed it, claiming, "I wanted to see how far you could go as a jerk to me."

Slowly, his thoughts completely faded and changed as he could no longer deny that he had fallen deeply for Yeon Mija and would never be able to let her go. Kang Dagyeom finally accepted that he was indeed a human being created with feelings. Having accepted that he had fallen in love, Kang Dagyeom resolved to protect Mija and give her as much love as possible. Although, to be honest, he himself didn't really understand how to give love to another person. Dagyeom rarely expressed his feelings verbally, but he tried his best to show his sincerity through his actions.
